? Generelt / tendenser
· Facebook Instant Articles daler i popularitet
Many publishers are deeply unhappy with the monetization on these pages, with major partners like The New York Times throwing in the towel and many others cutting back the amount of content pushed to the IA platform. In response, Facebook is making making concessions to publishers, including new subscription options, in a rare show of weakness for the platform juggernaut.
· Krigen mellem Facebook og Snap
The stakes for the brewing competition between Snapchat and Facebook are rising as both are at major turning points. Facebook’s surge of Snapchat-mimicking features has been years in the works as it has tried to combat its decline in sharing.

· Information lancerer podcast(s)
Dagbladet Information følger efter bl.a.

· Kunstig intelligens: Google open-sourcer ‘Sonnet’
Google’s DeepMind announced today that it was open sourcing Sonnet, its object-oriented neural network library. Sonnet doesn’t replace TensorFlow, it’s simply a higher-level library that meshes well with DeepMind’s internal best-practices for research.
· Facebook vil give lidt mere data til annoncører
Facebook is moving to show advertisers and measurement firms more in-the-weeds details about ad campaigns, which could help prove results. It’s one of many steps Facebook has made lately to make its famously closed-off ads business slightly more transparent and try to capture more ad dollars.

· Der er brug for alternativer til Facebook
But how to make a mass communication medium better for us? In 1961, Minow had a clear answer: “I believe that most of television’s problems stem from lack of competition.” He said he looked forward to seeing more channels becoming available through new technologies, such as UHF frequencies, pay TV, and international broadcasts. And he said he would look for ways to strengthen local stations that could best serve local communities. “I am deeply concerned with concentration of power in the hands of the networks,” Minow said.
Det skriver The Independent.
? Mobil
Today, we are rolling out Twitter Lite, a new mobile web experience which minimizes data usage, loads quickly on slower connections, is resilient on unreliable mobile networks, and takes up less than 1MB on your device. We also optimized it for speed, with up to 30% faster launch times as well as quicker navigation throughout Twitter.
? Forretning

Businesses need to adopt a “Fast/Forward” approach if they are to succeed in a rapidly moving world, say Julian Birkinshaw and Jonas Ridderstrale

· Så er der responsivt design i Sketch
Rejoice, fellow Sketch users! Sketch 39 finally delivered us the ability to create truly fluid layouts. Fluid layouts are layouts whose individual elements can auto-resize, float to one side, or remain fixed in place as the size of the viewport/browser changes ⏤ the basic concept of responsive design is derived from fluid design.
· Guide til designere i tech-branchen
Today, we are in a period of maturation in tech, a very broad term, referring to a rather specific set of companies; primarily those that exist in what we consider today to be the “consumer internet” such as Pinterest, Airbnb, Slack, and Spotify. These businesses have leveraged design to differentiate their product and brands to build meaningful advantages against competitors and incumbents.
As this industry matures, designers are moving from working broadly in the tech industry at-large to specializing in specific trades and segmenting further by company size.
Big Picture Machine Learning: Classifying Text with Neural Networks and TensorFlow [Medium / freeCodeCamp]
Developers often say that if you want to get started with machine learning, you should first learn how the algorithms work. But my experience shows otherwise.
I say you should first be able to see the big picture: how the applications work. Once you understand this, it becomes much easier to dive in deep and explore the inner workings of the algorithms.
· Bedre sikkerhed og performance: HTTP Strict Transport Security
The HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS) header is a security technique that enforces the browser to rewrite HTTP requests into HTTPS requests, for a secure connection to the origin servers during site navigation.
