· Adblocking i Chrome – hvorfor dog?
“Google said to be planning a built-in ad blocker for Chrome” skriver TechCrunch.

To try to get a handle on the nature of the issue, I decided to download 15 months of Facebook post data — no small feat since Insights only lets you grab 500 posts at a time. Then I merged the 30 csv files and sorted the organic post data into four buckets: less than 10,000 reach, 10,001–25,000, 25,001-50,000 and 50,001+. The results literally stunned me. The number of posts that fell into the category of lowest efficacy—the ones seen by the fewest number of people — was skyrocketing.

“Publishers are seeing another big decline in reach on Facebook” skriver Digiday:
He speculated that Facebook is suppressing publishers’ organic reach so publishers will spend more with Facebook to promote their posts. Facebook also could be in the middle of another algorithm tweak that it’s yet to announce publicly, he said.
Other popular theories were that Facebook’s preference for video over text posts and for publishers that are using its Instant Articles format over regular links is disadvantaging some. Facebook hasn’t responded to a request for comment.
· Mand poster video af drab på Facebook
Facebook has issued a statement after a video showing a fatal shooting was uploaded onto the social media network by the alleged murderer. Cleveland Police say that Steve Stephens broadcast the killing of an unidentified elderly man on Facebook on Sunday evening and is the target of a manhunt as of this writing. [Update: The victim has been identified as 74-year-old Robert Godwin Sr. Facebook issued a second statement clarifying that the shooting was uploaded by Stephens after the murder, not broadcast on Facebook Live.]
Snap’s business model is under threat from Facebook, which means Snap needs to consider other options, including selling the company. One possibility is a tie-up with Disney, which would serve both companies well. The media company is looking for big plays in digital aimed at reaching young audiences.

· Hvad siger et websites struktur om troværdigheden?
A simple look at the components of an HTML page tells a lot about the reliability of its contents. Problem is, distribution platforms don’t bother looking at those signals.
The system is so complicated that even the engineers who designed it may struggle to isolate the reason for any single action. And you can’t ask it: there is no obvious way to design such a system so that it could always explain why it did what it did.
This infusion of alien intelligence is bringing into question the assumptions embedded in our long Western tradition. We thought knowledge was about finding the order hidden in the chaos. We thought it was about simplifying the world. It looks like we were wrong. Knowing the world may require giving up on understanding it.

In its youth, Google Books inspired the world with a vision of a “library of utopia” that would extend online convenience to offline wisdom. At the time it seemed like a singularity for the written word: We’d upload all those pages into the ether, and they would somehow produce a phase-shift in human awareness. Instead, Google Books has settled into a quiet middle age of sourcing quotes and serving up snippets of text from the 25 million-plus tomes in its database.
· Ny app vil ‘de-personalisere’ nyhederne
A new app, however, is trying to depersonalize the news. The app, Twain, launched on iOS last Friday, attempts to provide users an overview of the stories that are trending across the Internet that they might not otherwise see.
? Mobil
Global mobile users: GSMA Intelligence have reported an additional 43 million new unique mobile users around the world since our January report, representing growth of one percent during the past three months. The total number of unique mobile users now stands at 4.96 billion, and we’re edging closer and closer to the magical five billion number.
? Forretning
In tackling the problems with Google and Facebook, media needs to acknowledge the role it has played its own downfall.
Neither Google or Facebook forced publishers to chase for scale, surrendering value for volume in the process. On the contrary, publishers initially saw the search and social platforms as a quick fix to slow growth in digital display revenues.

· Adblockere ændrer mediestrategi
It’s not just publishers who have started to push themselves as the moral option, however. Developers of adblockers have been reassessing their own relationship to publishing, and bringing out products intended to ameliorate for the loss of revenue site owners experience from adblocking.
Recently, Adblock Plus, one of the largest desktop adblockers, made a decisive move into this space, buying microdonation platform Flattr for an undisclosed amount.

? Organisation / Proces
· Ny bog: Få samtaler tilbage på sporet
Our book is organized around six steps. The first step is reflecting on your own internal monologue. What’s the baggage that you bring into a conversation? You could have the best talking points prepared, but if what’s going through your mind is, “I’m right, and they’re wrong,” it will bleed though. Often people think they’re being passionate and clear, but come off as arrogant and preachy.

The very first step you have to take is to clearly define the users who will use your product. It means you should create buyer personas (semi-fictional characters of your ideal users).
You need to be crystal clear what the problem your personas are facing and define the way your product will help them solve those issues. This is the foundation of your project, and you should be very thorough at this step; otherwise your whole project could easily go backward no matter how well your user stories are written.
· Første bølge af ‘Corporate AI’ vil fejle
We believe that a similar story of early failures leading to irrational retreats will occur with AI. Already, evidence suggests that early AI pilots are unlikely to produce the dramatic results that technology enthusiasts predict. For example, early efforts of companies developing chatbots for Facebook’s Messenger platform saw 70% failure rates in handling user requests. Yet a reversal on these initiatives among large companies would be a mistake. The potential of AI to transform industries truly is enormous.

In fact, in many ways, developers have a greater impact on the experience than we do. Look at the role of performance in the user experience. Still, we do not tend to talk about that with clients. We know they will not be interested and we are not willing to put the hard work in to convince them to care. However, we should.

· Er det slut med minimalisme?
Minimalism has held a tight grip on the modern design industry for the past decade. We embraced the Apple aesthetic, extolled the logic of Helvetica, and worshiped at the church of Dieter Rams. It served its purpose, most recently, as a correctional to the excesses of the 1990s. But lately, as dispatches from Milan Design Week have shown, asceticism has given way to audacity.

In this article I introduce Velocity.js, a fast and high-powered JavaScript animation engine by Julian Shapiro. By the time you go through all the demos, you’ll be able to use Velocity.js to create your own animations and make your website more interactive and user-friendly. All of this without using jQuery, just vanilla JavaScript.
· Hvor er UX-design om fem år?
When it comes to the work of UX designers in particular, it’s unlikely that many tasks will become automated any time soon. Effective user research and user testing, for instance, are complex and require emotional intelligence and, importantly, an ability to understand which needs and behaviors are not present as well those that are.

Facebook præsenterer udviklerplatform til Augmented Reality
Facebook will rely on an army of outside developers to contribute augmented reality image filters and interactive experiences to its new Camera Effects platform. After today’s Facebook F8 conference, the first effects will become available inside Facebook’s Camera feature on smartphones, but the Camera Effects platform is designed to eventually be compatible with future augmented reality hardware, such as eyeglasses.
