? Google slår YouTube Red og Google Play Music sammen
Google is notorious for having many services that do similar things, like its array of chat apps. Google’s music services have been fragmented for years, but the company may change that soon. According to a report from The Verge, YouTube’s head of music Lyor Cohen stated at the New Music Seminar conference in New York last night that YouTube Red and Google Play Music should merge to make a singular, cohesive service.

⚔️ ‘Game of Thrones’-nyhedsbrev runder 60.000 abonnenter
In just three weeks, a pop-up newsletter The New York Times launched around “Game of Thrones” has already garnered over 61,000 subscribers, the company said. The newsletter, produced by staffers at the New York Times’ Watching, is also being forwarded and read so much that its open rates have exceeded 100 percent through the last two weeks, according to Elisabeth Goodridge, email newsletter editor for The New York Times.

❔ Er virksomhederne klar til kunstig intelligens?
More often than not, companies are not ready for AI. Maybe they hired their first data scientist to less-than-stellar outcomes, or maybe data literacy is not central to their culture. But the most common scenario is that they have not yet built the infrastructure to implement (and reap the benefits of) the most basic data science algorithms and operations, much less machine learning.

? Spotify = Apple Music x 2

? Ny app forener The New York Times på tværs af iPad og iPhone
Also noteworthy is what’s under the hood: This is the first version of the app that’s universal for iOS devices, meaning that the same code is at work across the iPad, iPhone, and even the Apple Watch. The Times released the first version of its iPad app in April 2010, just a few months after Apple announced the iPad and shortly before Apple introduced support for universal iPad-iPhone apps. Other news organizations, slower to develop for the iPad, created universal news apps from the beginning. A few months later, the Times started offering access to its iPhone and iPad apps in different subscription tiers, separating the products further.

One might argue that corporate clients prefer speaking to their strategy consultants to get high priced, custom-tailored advice that is based on small teams doing expensive and time-consuming work. And we agree that consultants provide insightful advice and guidance. However, a great deal of what is paid for with consulting services is data analysis and presentation. Consultants gather, clean, process, and interpret data from disparate parts of organizations. They are very good at this, but AI is even better. For example, the processing power of four smart consultants with excel spreadsheets is miniscule in comparison to a single smart computer using AI running for an hour, based on continuous, non-stop machine learning.

? Sådan kan data forandre forandringsledelse
The combination of predictive analytics, large data sets, and the processing power of today’s computers is starting to transform change management. Just as the discipline of marketing has transformed from soft to hard science in the past 20 years, so too will the practice of change. But before that can happen, we have to understand why data has failed to catch on in change management to date.

? Fire slags projektledere
The 4 Types of Project Manager.

✏ UX / Design / Teknik
⌛ Er UX’ guldalder forbi?
Now, 6 years later, high-quality UX and UI design are commodities. At AJ&Smart, we can no longer stand out as a digital agency focussing purely on creating great user experiences. An easy-to-use, delightful product experience isn’t just something users want, it’s what they expect. Users don’t blame themselves anymore when they get stuck, they blame your company. Companies have gotten better and better at delivering great user experiences and no longer need to be convinced of its value.
Artiklen rummer nogle gode pointer om de forandringer, ‘UX designer’-rollen står overfor, så sørg for at få den læst.

UX hackathons are competitive design events for problem-solvers to come together and collaborate on a meaningful, short-term project.

? Chrome tester adblocking i Canary på Android
Google will reportedly debut a built-in ad blocking feature for its Chrome browser next year, and now we have the first concrete look at this addition to the web navigation software in action. In Chrome’s pre-release Canary app for Android, which previews and tests features coming later to the stable version, there is now a feature that allows users to toggle a built-in blocker for sites with intrusive advertising.
